Q&A Spotlight with Anthony Gazdovic
Anthony Gazdovic is our Solutions Architect and is very hands on in the design and implementation when it comes to infrastructure transformation. With a strong technical background in networking and systems, Anthony has the experience to back up his cutting-edge ideas.
Q1: Tell us about your role at Inverto?
My role at Inverto is a very technical one but like the other guys, I get involved with earlier parts of the process. It drives a better outcome for the customer if I am aware of the conversations and requirements that lead up to implementation. From there, I do what I do best and focus on delivering the best outcome I can by implementing the technical solutions agreed on.
Q2: What inspired you to pursue a career in tech?
To be honest im unsure. I think its always been inside me as ive been a bit of nerd since a young age when I would build my own computers. Maybe it’s a generational thing as pcs really boomed in the 90’s and became more affordable.
Q3: What do you feel sets Inverto apart from other players in the industry?
While we do focus on a few key areas in the infrastructure and digital transformation along with cloud-based security. We have such a broad set of experience where we really understand all the moving parts within a business and how it fits together. We know that not every business spends a million dollars on IT so we a great a tailoring the solution as appose to a cookie cutter approach most take. I wont get it in to it too much because I know the other guys have mentioned this but im proud of how we give back through charity and make conscious decisions about what we do based on the impact to the people around us.
Q4: What do you see as the next big thing in tech?
For us its going to be automation of everything possible. From service to implementation and beyond as this is driven by a desire to cut costs and improve efficiency. I’m really excited to be working further on automation solutions internally at Inverto and also for customers.
Q5: What excites you most about your daily role?
The final product and being able to see the benefits that whatever piece of work you have done is having a positive impact. We put a lot of effort in to our designs and implementation but so does the customer. The customer has to wear that change and even with change management processes in place, it can be hard for them too. The celebration of the final product is amazing.
Q6: What are the most common challenges facing your customers today?
I think there are just so many solutions that do very much the same, but slightly different things. Its difficult for them (and even us sometimes) to really get a grasp on all these products and services then decide what to use. Security is a great example as now you are protecting identity, data, mobiles and so on. Each with several solutions that can address the need. The challenge for the customer is deciding what is right for them. So we help with the use of workshops, proof of concepts and roadmaps.
Q7: How do you like to spend your downtime?
I like to pick heavy things up…and put them back down again
Q8: What would you do if you weren’t working in IT?
Probably a personal trainer. Health and fitness is a huge part of my life and I love to help people.
